About Cranleigh Contracts
Tony Jacks, the Managing Director of Cranleigh Contracts UK Limited has had a long and varied career. Upon leaving college he started work with Heals, Contract Division. During his time there he was involved in a two and half year project for Price Waterhouse to carry out a complete furnishing contract at their then new offices, on 26 floors. The contract included not only furniture but also accessories including the china and glassware. It was the largest contract that Heals had had to date. From Heals Tony moved on to Wagstaff Office Equipment where he worked for 4 years selling mainly office furniture and stationery. He was responsible for the postal areas of London EC3 and EC4 and during that time built up many contacts, some of whom are still his clients today. Tony was then approached by an old colleague from Heals who had started his own business and persuaded Tony to join him at Introspect Contracts. Tony became part of a small team selling office furniture, fittings, partitions, carpets, blinds, etc.
Tony finally took the decision to open his own business “Cranleigh Contracts” in 1985 at the beginning working from home for a year before moving to offices in St. Johns Square, London EC1 for 18 months. He then moved the offices to Wembley where he stayed for 12 years before finally moving to new premises in Ruislip Manor where the company has been based for the past 7 years. Cranleigh Contracts became a Limited Company in 2003 and has since been known as Cranleigh Contracts UK Limited but the same staff and values still apply.
As a small intimate company, we try to keep in touch with all our clients on a regular basis even if they have no requirements at the time. We often find that the members of staff we deal with on a regular basis become more than just clients but friends.
